DC swept by Lourdes in first conference match
SYLVANIA, Ohio - Defiance College men's volleyball was defeated in the program's first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match, losing in straight sets to the Lourdes Gray Wolves (22-25, 13-25, 20-25) at the Ebeid Recreation Center on Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets (1-2, 0-1 WHAC) contested 2 of the 3 sets with a 3-point loss in the first set and 5-point defeat in the third. The Gray Wolves (4-1, 1-0 WHAC) used a dominant second set to gain a 2-set advantage.

In the third, DC scored the first 4 points of the set and built an 11-8 lead. Lourdes fought back and the two teams exchanged 5 ties to a 20-20 knot before the Gray Wolves posted 5 straight points to clinch the match.
