FORT WAYNE, Ind. - In Tuesday's WHAC men's volleyball action, the Defiance Yellow Jackets were defeated in straight sets by the Indiana Tech Warriors with identical 25-10 scores in all three sets at the Schaefer Center.
The Yellow Jackets (1-4, 0-2 WHAC) dropped their fourth straight match and third time in straight sets. The Warriors (4-3, 1-0 WHAC) claimed a win in their first conference match of the campaign and represented the second straight WHAC foe garnering votes in the national coaches poll.
DC carried a negative attack percentage in all three sets while the Warriors committed just 4 attack errors in the contest. Overall, the Jackets were plagued by 48 errors. Defiance led 1-0 to start the match thanks to an ace by Zack Baker, but that was the only lead of the night for the Purple and Gold. In the second set, the Warriors enjoyed an 11-point streak and also started the third 7-0 to highlight the dominant victory.
Baker led the Yellow Jackets with 5 kills, also a match-high, and had 3 digs to match Oniel Alvarez to lead the defense. Defiance had 14 different players see action.
