Bio
Jacob Hild joined the Defiance baseball staff as a graduate assistant in August 2025 following a four-year career with the Yellow Jackets.
A native of Holly, Mich., Hild was a catcher for DC. He led the program in hitting as a senior and set career marks across the board, including a .356 average and 53 hits (sixth-most in a season in program history). He was also a dynamic defensive backstop, who threw out 39 runners attempting to steal and led the WHAC in caught-stealing as a senior. Hild was also a standout student in the classroom as a three-time academic all-conference selection.
Hild graduated from Defiance in 2025 with his bachelor's degree in sport management.
