1961 team featured in Baseball Research Journal

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Yellow Jackets Baseball team from 1961 has been featured in the Baseball Research Journal, recapping DC's NAIA National Tournament run, which featured several record-setting performances by Defiance and its opponents.  [Complete SABR Article]

The 18-member team, led by coach Bob Reising, had a 14-game win streak in 1961, including a 22-9 victory over Toledo en route to be invited to the NAIA National Tournament. Defiance played in three games in the postseason tournament, all of which featured something that had never been seen before in postseason tournament history.
