Lady Jackets Miller notches seventh place at Otterbein
WESTERVILLE, Ohio – It was another solid outing for sophomore Eme Miller on Saturday, September 21. The first-year runner crossed the finish line in 24:05.2 to score seventh overall out of the 199 competitors.

Miller has now been the top-finishing Lady Jacket in three consecutive races. It was also the second time the Jay County High product has chalked up a top-10 outing.
Junior Kelsey Bowling was the next Purple and Gold runner complete the race in 109th with a time of 27:38.1. Finishing up the rest of the squad was Brittany Holmes in 139th (28:19.3), Sadie Daeger in 144th (28:33.4), Marissa Bussard in 152nd (28:45.6), Taylor Traut in 168th (29:36.8) and Anna Prinkney in 188th (31:06.4).
As a team, Defiance concluded the meet in 15th place totaling 401 points.
The Jackets will have next weekend off and return to action on Friday, October 4 for the annual All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville, Ohio. The statewide competition is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm.
