Defiance Places Eight on HCAC’s Fall Sportsmanship Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its Fall All-Sportsmanship Team on Thursday, with eight Yellow Jackets making the list. The award is part of the HCAC's sportsmanship initiative. [Release]

Members of the HCAC All-Sportsmanship Team were selected by the head coaches and their teammates as individuals who demonstrate the ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field or court of competition.

Nominees must be a member of an intercollegiate athletic team during the 2010-2011 academic year and must have consistently demonstrated the values of respect and integrity in their daily participation of intercollegiate athletics.

Defiance College was represented on the HCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team by Kelsey Ferguson (volleyball), Kyle Longsdorf (football), Seth Bidlack (men's cross country), Kaitlin Switzer (women's cross country), Nicole Lovins (women's tennis), Jordanne Buehrer (women's soccer), Sean Roberts (men's soccer) and Sarah Westfall (women's tennis).
