DC Has 28 Spring Student-Athletes Named Academic All-HCAC

GREENWOOD, IND. – The Defiance College spring athletic teams had 28 student-athletes named to the Tom Bohlsen All-Academic Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference list.

The Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC award is given to those student-athletes in the HCAC with a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 and participate in varsity athletics.  The student-athletes are also full-time students and have completed a full academic year.  The award is named after Tom Bohlsen who was the first commissioner of the HCAC from 1998 to 2008.

DC had 11 individuals of the softball team named Academic All-HCAC and the women's indoor track & field team had five athletes earn the recognition.  The baseball, men's golf, men's tennis and men's indoor track & field teams all had three players selected Academic All-HCAC.
