FINDLAY, Ohio – The women’s team squared off against the NCAA div. II affiliated University of Findlay on Wednesday afternoon. Defiance lost, 9-0, in what was their sixth match in the last seven days.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – With a victory in No. 1 singles action on Tuesday evening, Kirsten Wieland has now won three of her last four singles matches for the Yellow Jackets. Despite Wieland’s performance, Defiance dropped an 8-1 decision to Heidelberg University.
N. MANCHESTER, Ind. – One day after winning the first singles match of her collegiate career, Kirsten Wieland made it two in a row with a victory in No. 1 singles action on Saturday.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – With one of their top players out with a hand injury, the Lady Jackets gave Sinclair Community College a run for its money on Friday evening. Sinclair edged out the Jackets 5-4, in what was one of DC’s best performances so far this season.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The women’s tennis team was unable to snap a five-match losing streak on Wednesday, as they fell 9-0 to the University of Saint Francis.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The women’s tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to the University of Northwestern Ohio on Saturday, wrapping up a tough weekend of three matches in two days. Defiance falls to 0-5 on the season with the loss.
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Lady Jackets fell 7-2 to Rose-Hulman and 9-0 to Earlham College on Saturday, but left the tri-match with something to build on after seeing Kirsten Wieland battle it out in No. 1 singles action, and performing well as a team in doubles action.
