Auzins Wins in Singles Action, DC Drops Pair of HCAC Matches

FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Defiance College women's tennis team lost its opening conference matches, falling 9-0 to Franklin College and 7-2 to the College of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday, September 6.

Amanda Auzins recorded the lone singles victory on the day for DC, defeating her MSJ counterpart 6-4, 6-7, 1-0 in No. 1 singles action.  The doubles tandem of Chelsea French and Cindy Toth claimed a victory in No. 2 doubles, winning 8-0.

The Jackets return to action on Thursday, September 11, when they travel to Winona Lake, Ind. to face the Grace College Lancers. The match is set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
