DEFIANCE, OHIO - The Defiance College women's soccer team will take to the road nine times over the course of the 2019 season. Beginning with Heidelberg on August 30 and Indiana Tech on September 1 both games in the Purple & Gold Classic, Winsper-Knobel Memorial Field will play host to eleven home contests.
The nonconference schedule hits full swing in September as DC will head to Michigan to face Andrews University Sept. 4, a home match up against Penn State-Beaver on Sept. 8 and then to Indiana for a pair of matches with St. Mary's and St. Mary of the Woods on Sept. 10 and 14 respectively. The Yellow Jackets will return home for a three game stretch with UC Clermont on Sept. 18, Muskingum on Sept. 21, and a return from Andrews on Sept. 25. Road battles with Wilmington on Sept. 28 and Thiel on Sept. 30 will conclude nonconference action.
DC will jump straight into the competitive HCAC season with home contests with Franklin on Oct. 5 and Bluffton on Oct. 9 before taking to the road.
A tough five game road stretch highlights the middle of the HCAC schedule for the program. The Yellow Jackets will see trips to Rose-Hulman, Anderson, Transylvania, Manchester, and Mount St. Joseph before finally returning to Winsper-Knobel once again.
A southern trip on Oct. 30 will see Defiance take on Earlham in the penultimate game of the season.
The Yellow Jackets will conclude the 2019 season with a home contest on Nov. 2. The battle with the Hanover will serve as Senior Day for the program.
