GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its fall honorees for the Tom Bohlsen Academic All-HCAC Team with Defiance placing 20 student-athletes on the list.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its Fall All-Sportsmanship Team on Thursday, with eight Yellow Jackets making the list. The award is part of the HCAC’s sportsmanship initiative.

CINCINNATI, Ohio – A late goal by Karly Smith was not enough for the Lady Jackets on Saturday afternoon, as they fell to seventh place in the HCAC with a 3-1 loss at Mount St. Joseph.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Lady Jackets hung tough with the top team in the conference on Tuesday evening, but could not get any points on the board as they fell, 2-0, to the Earlham College Quakers.
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Defiance’s defense has been one of the best in the HCAC this season, and entered the game allowing just one goal per game to opponents, but Transylvania’s offense was too much for the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Lady Jackets pulled off their second shutout in three games, and their third of the season, as they defeated Manchester, 2-0, on Tuesday.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Lady Jackets earned their third tie of the season on Saturday, and moved to 1-1-1 in the HCAC, with a 1-1 draw against Franklin College.
DETROIT – The Defiance College women’s soccer team ended on the winning side of a 1-0 decision against Marygrove College (3-6) on Tuesday evening.
HANOVER, Ind. – The women’s soccer team was tagged with its first conference loss of the season on Saturday, as the fell, 1-0, to Hanover College (6-4-1, 2-0 HCAC).
TIFFIN, Ohio – The women’s soccer team did a fine job of containing the Heidelberg offense, but could not crack the Student Princes’ defense as they fell, 1-0, in the non-conference showdown Tuesday night.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The women’s soccer team overcame an early deficit to defeat Anderson University, 2-1, in their first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference match of the season.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Lady Jackets came up just short against a talented Alma College squad on Wednesday evening. A late goal by Alma’s Elaine Cunningham gave the Scots the 2-1 victory, and dropped the Jackets to 1-3-2 on the season.
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – The Lady Jackets picked up their second 1-1 tie in as many games on Saturday, when they played 110 minutes of soccer against the Warriors of Rochester College that ended in a draw.
