Hohenbrink named Second Team All-WHAC in Women's Bowling
DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference announced its 2025-26 Women's Bowling All-Conference Awards ahead of the conference championships, and Defiance College freshman Carlee Hohenbrink (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon) earned Second Team All-WHAC honors to cap off the program's first season of competition.
First and Second Team Awards were compiled by individual scoring averages from the WHAC's four regular-season events. Hohenbrink's 187.17 per game average was 7th-best in the conference and just 5 pins behind the fifth and final spot on First Team. Hohenbrink posted a season-best 610 series with a 238 high game in the first WHAC event of the season, setting the program record in a fourth-place finish. For the season, Hohenbrink competed in all of DC's 7 events and carried a 186.5 average to lead the team.
Hohenbrink was also honored as Defiance's representative on the Champion of Character Team, exemplifying the NAIA's 5 Core Values of Respect, Integrity, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership.
As a team, the Yellow Jackets turn their attention to next season after coming up short in qualifying for this weekend's WHAC Championships.
