Hohenbrink places fourth, Grymonprez rolls 500 series at WHAC Jackson Open
JACKSON, Mich. – Bowling at the Jax 60 for the second weekend in a row, the Defiance women's bowling team showed growth across the board and also got a fourth-place individual finish from Carlee Hohenbrink at the WHAC Jackson Open on Saturday.
Bowling against the other nine teams in the WHAC in addition to Spring Arbor and Michigan State, the Yellow Jackets finished 12th as a team despite being one roller down. After a grand total of 3021 last week, the Jackets racked up a 3826 this week with improved numbers in both team games and bakers.
Hohenbrink raised the bar with her first collegiate 600 series, finishing with a 610 and just 54 pins off the lead. She had a stellar first game with a 238 and rebounded with a 222 game after a 150 showing in her second game.
Ashley Grymonprez was in rhythm as well and DC a second top-25 finish with a 522 series, her best through two competitions. Her high game for the day was a 191 in her second game. AJ Seedorf bowled a 457 with a 159 high game and Gabby Fisher's 297 and 112 single-game high were all personal bests for the young season as well.

The Yellow Jackets go to Lansing on Oct. 12 for the Comet Classic hosted by Olivet. The event will be held at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl.
