Hohenbrink places fifth in DC’s first women’s bowling event
JACKSON, Mich. – The first bowling tournament for the newest Defiance College varsity program featured an individual fifth-place finish for freshman Carlee Hohenbrink to highlight the day at Spring Arbor's Cougar Classic at the Jax 60.
Hohenbrink rolled a 564 series that started with games of 200 and 199, which set the first bar for the program's highest single game and series.
As a team, Defiance totaled 1736 pins through the team games and added 1285 through 12 baker games for a 3021 total. The Yellow Jackets had four bowlers compete rather than a full lineup of five, tempering the team's scores in its first full showcase.
