Second Half Dooms Jackets on the Road Against Hanover

HANOVER, Ind. – The Yellow Jacket women’s basketball team traveled to Hanover to take on the Panthers in a pivotal rematch of one of the best games in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference this season. DC won the first meeting on December 8 in an 85-80 overtime thriller. The Jackets were unable to complete the season sweep on Saturday, as Hanover pulled out an 88-76 win over DC.

Jessica Morris Era Begins as DC Begins Season at Centre

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Jessica ‘Cox’ Morris takes over the reins of the Defiance women’s basketball team as the 12th head coach in the program’s history. Morris will direct a squad that returns nearly every player from the 2011-2012 team that finished fifth in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Jackets bring back four of their five starters from last year and 87 percent of their scoring.
