Lions and Spartans take down Yellow Jackets in HCAC wrestling action

CINCINNATI, Ohio - Defiance College wrestling traveled down to Mount St. Joseph University Wednesday evening for HCAC duals against Manchester and Mount St. Joseph. The Yellow Jackets lost both duals.

Vs. Manchester (L, 27-18)

• Defiance forfeited the 125 weight class.

• 133 was declared a no contest as neither team had a participant. 

• Alejandro Castro, Jack Minner, Kliever Joseph, and  Rigo Villa earned wins for the Yellow Jackets. 

• Castro and Minner both won by fall, while Villa earned an overtime victory by decision and Joseph also won by decision.

Vs. MSJ (L, 28-15)

• 125 was declared a no contest.

• The Lions won 133 by forfeit.

• Alejandro Castro, Keringten Martin, and Rigo Villa all won by decision. 

• Jack Minner won by fall.
