Wrestling to hold Senior Night and Alumni Recognition on February 2

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College wrestling team will host Senior Night and Alumni Recognition on Thursday, February 2 at the Weaner Community Center. 

Public recognition of the program's current senior class and former wrestlers will be held at approximately 6:45 p.m. prior to the Yellow Jackets' dual meet against Ancilla College, which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

"I am really excited to have the opportunity to recognize some of our Defiance College Wrestling Alumni along with our current 2023 seniors," says head wrestling coach Steve Swinson. "Our guys are working very hard to make this a fantastic night for everyone involved. Thank you to all who have responded and plan to join us on this evening. We hope to make this a great event for years to come."

All former members of the Defiance College wrestling program are invited to attend and be recognized. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP with Coach Swinson via email (sswinson@defiance.edu) and share a brief personal bio to be used for the ceremony. This information should include years on the wrestling team, weight class(es), accomplishments and highlights from their years at Defiance. Alumni should plan to arrive at 6 p.m. on February 2 to meet with the current wrestlers and coaches.
