ADRIAN, Mich. - The Defiance College wrestling program wrapped up the 2019-20 season at the 2020 NCAA DIII Central Regional Tournament on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets headed to Adrian College for the competition, finishing 15th of 18 as a team. Rosendo Beltran (Toledo/Central Catholic) was the high finisher for Defiance, taking home a 6th place finish in the 125-pound class.
CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Defiance College wrestling team headed to Wabash College on Saturday morning to participate in the Mid-States Invitational. Top finishers for the Yellow Jackets were Rosendo Beltran (Toledo, Ohio / Central Catholic) with a first-place finish and Hunter Mcnutt (Oregon / Clay) with a third-place finish. Cortez Bradley (Garfield / Warrensville Heights) and Alejandro Castro (Cromwell, Ind. / Wawasee) finished with fifth place results, and as a team, the Yellow Jackets finished 7th of 11 teams.
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Defiance College wrestling team made a trip east on Saturday for a pair of duals. The Yellow Jackets first took on Penn St.-Behrend bringing home a 51-6 victory, and in the second dual DC fall to Case Western Reserve, 27-19.
ADRIAN, Mich. - The Defiance College wrestling team traveled to Adrian College for a dual meet against the Bulldogs on Thursday night. The Yellow Jackets took on a talented Adrian College side, falling to the MIAA foe 46-9.
WHEATON, ILL. - The Defiance College wrestling program headed west this past weekend as they traveled to Wheaton College to take on a talented field at the Pete Wilson Wheaton Invitational. The Yellow Jackets finished the weekend 28th of 34 in the highly competitive field.
ALLIANCE, Ohio- On Saturday, the Defiance College wrestling team competed individually at the Purple Raider Open, held at the Peterson Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Mount Union.
DEFIANCE, Ohio. - The Defiance College wrestling team hosted the HCAC Duals in the Karl H. Weaner Center on Saturday afternoon. Defiance split on the day, falling to Mount St. Joseph in the first dual (34-9) and defeating Manchester in the second dual (32-18).
SANDUSKY, Ohio- The Defiance College wrestling team traveled to Sandusky, Ohio, to compete in the Kalahari Duals on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets competed in three separate duals against Baldwin Wallace University, University of Mount Union, and Heidelberg University.
ADA, Ohio- The Defiance College wrestling team traveled to Ohio Northern University to compete in the 39th Annual ONU Invitational. The field consisted of thirteen institutions, and Defiance placed 11th of 13 teams.
BEREA, Ohio- The Defiance College wrestling team traveled to Baldwin Wallace University to compete in the BW Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets finished 9th of 11 in the competitive field.
DEFIANCE, Ohio- The Defiance College wrestling team hosted Lourdes University for their first home dual of the 2019-20 season on Wednesday evening in the Karl H. Weaner Center. The Gray Wolves defeated the Yellow Jackets by a score of 29-14.
CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Defiance College wrestling team took to the road as they competed at the Case Western Reserve University Mini Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
