Spinks Is Named An All-American
NEW ORLEANS, LA. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2015 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Track & Field All-Americans and Defiance College freshman Darius Spinks (Washington, Pa. /Washington) was amongst the athletes named.

For an athlete to be honored as an All-American, they had to finish in the top-eight in an event at the NCAA Division III Championships that was held in Winston-Salem, N.C. The athlete's school must also be a member of the USTFCCCA.
Spinks earned the All-American title after leaping a distance of 22' 10.00" to place fourth of 15 competitors at the NCAA meet. Spinks is the first freshman to earn the All-American status in the indoor season at Defiance.
Spinks and the rest of the Yellow Jackets track and field team will begin their outdoor season at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational on Saturday, Mar. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind. The first event is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
