Parrett Claims First HCAC Track Athlete of the Week Award

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced that Defiance College freshman Troy Parrett was named Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for his performances at the All-Ohio Championships.

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced that Defiance College freshman Troy Parrett was named Men's Track Athlete of the Week for his performances at the All-Ohio Championships. [Release]

Parrett earned his first HCAC Athlete-of-the-Week award after winning the 800-meter run at the All-Ohio meet. He won the event with a time of 1:55.13. Parrett also helped the 4x400 relay team to an eighth-place finish with a time of 3:31.64.

The DC men's track and field team posted a best-ever fifth place finish at the All-Ohio Championships.

The Yellow Jackets will return to competition on Saturday, April 21 at Spartan Classic hosted by Manchester. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 am.
