Jackets Roll to 9-0 Victory at Grace

WINONA LAKE, Ind. – Defiance College did not drop a single set on Wednesday in a non-conference match at Grace College and cruised to the 9-0 victory. The win moved the Jackets to 12-6 on the season and was their third win in their last four contests.

DC set the tone in doubles action, sweeping the three matches to take a 3-0 advantage into singles action. The doubles sweep moved the Yellow Jackets to 35-16 this season in doubles competition.

Things kept going for the Purple and Gold in singles play, as DC took all six matches in straight sets to complete the shutout. Trevor Ault's win at No. 5 was his 13-straight victory, while Austin Kleman and Adam Fausey notched their 11th wins of the year and Lachmond Bratton joined that trio in double figures with his 10th win in singles action.

DC (12-6, 5-2 HCAC) will be back in action on Saturday, when it plays at Manchester (1-10, 1-5 HCAC) in a 10:00 am matchup.
