ANGOLA, Ind. - Trine broke through with two second-half goals to hand Defiance a 2-0 loss Wednesday night at Weaver Field.
The Thunder's Ben Borak scored the game-winner in the 55th minute off an assist from Nikola Bastaic, and Colin Clark added an insurance goal just four minutes later.
Defiance managed 13 shots, including five on goal, but couldn't solve Thunder goalkeeper Brandon Walker, who recorded the shutout. Yellow Jackets sophomore keeper Tyler Harper finished with three saves in 81 minutes of action.
