ADRIAN, Mich. - The Yellow Jackets came up short in a defensive battle against the Adrian Bulldogs at Docking Stadium Tuesday Night, 2-0.
After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, Adrian's Kyle Jennings broke through in the 65th minute with a goal to put the Bulldogs in front. In the 87th minute, Adrian added another to make it 2-0.
Defiance managed 13 shots, four of them on goal, but was held off the scoreboard by Adrian goalkeeper Eli Sizemore, who recorded four saves. Junior forward Griffin Meyer tallied three shots, on goal, to lead the Purple and Gold. Tyler Harper made one save in goal for the Yellow Jackets.
