Miday Leads Men's Golf at the AC Eddy Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. - The Defiance College men's golf team claimed an eighth place finish out of 11 teams shooting a team total 322 at the AC Eddy Invitational hosted by Trine University on Wednesday afternoon. 

The Purple and Gold were paced by senior Alex Miday (Canton/St. Thomas) finishing tied for ninth with a team-best 73. Freshman Hayden Clingaman (Stryker) finished tied for 32nd with an 80, followed by freshman Daniel Acosta (Torreon, Mexico/Gary Gilchrist Academy) in 39th shooting an 82.

Junior Stephan Dolan (Painseville Twp.) posted an 87 finishing tied for 49th place, while senior Adam McGinnis (Bloomville/Buckeye Central) rounded out the scoring for Defiance with an 88.

Trine won the the event with a team total 288, followed by Indiana Wesleyan in second with a 294. 

The Yellow Jackets returns to action Saturday, April 21 and Sunday April 22 at Eagle Rock Golf Club for the Defiance Spring Invitational.
