DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College and head coach Rob Taylor have announced the hiring of Nate Jensen to join the football coaching staff. Jensen played for the Jackets on the gridiron from 2000-2003 and will return to serve as the defensive coordinator for the Purple and Gold.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Keith Snyder and Tom Foos were each recently selected as NCAA III All-Ohio players, as announced by OhioCollegeFootball.com. Snyder earned First-Team Defense honors, while Foos was placed on the Second-Team Defense.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College’s Keith Snyder has garnered Second Team All-North Region honors, as announced by D3football.com on Wednesday afternoon. The honor is the second selection to the All-North Region Team for Snyder in the past two years.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Just days after closing the 2008 season with a 27-13 win over Bluffton to end the year on a four-game winning streak, the Defiance College football team saw 12 student-athletes selected to the All-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Team.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Just two days after leading Defiance to its fourth-straight win, Keith Snyder has been selected as the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Snyder turned in 10 tackles and ran back an interception 40 yards for a touchdown to seal DC’s 27-13 win over Bluffton.
BLUFFTON, Ohio – The 2008 season came to an end with a fourth-straight win for Defiance. The Yellow Jackets picked up their 43rd all-time victory over Bluffton and moved into third place in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference standings with a 4-3 mark.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College picked up its third-straight win by pulling out a 21-14 victory over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday inside of Coressel Stadium. The win was DC’s first over the Lions on the gridiron since 2001 and moved the Yellow Jackets into fourth place in the HCAC with one game remaining.
DEFIANCE, Ohio - Defiance will honor its nine-man senior class prior to the start of Saturday’s 1:00 pm contest with Mount St. Joseph. The game will be DC’s final home game of the 2008 campaign.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Tom Foos and Kyle Longsdorf each played vital roles in DC’s, 31-28, overtime victory at Hanover and have both garnered Player-of-the-Week honors from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
HANOVER, Ind. – Defiance rattled off 21-unanswered points and rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to complete a 31-28 overtime victory at Hanover on Saturday. The win was DC’s fourth straight over the Panthers and marked the 350th win in the history of the program.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Keith Snyder became Defiance’s all-time leader in assisted tackles and the Jackets notched their first win of the year and fourth-straight victory over Anderson with a 21-13 defeat of the Ravens. The win was DC’s first on the gridiron since bouncing Hanover at Coressel Stadium on Oct. 27, 2007.

The Jackets dropped a nail-biter to Rose-Hulman, 28-21, when their final drive of the game came up just short, while Anderson was knocked from the rank of the unbeatens in league play with a 56-27 setback to Franklin one week ago.
DEFIANCE, Ohio – Lewis Caralla turned in his best performance of the season with 188 rushing yards on only 18 carries, but it was not enough to get Defiance past Rose-Hulman on Saturday. The Jackets came up just short to a well-balanced attack from the Engineers, falling 28-21, at Coressel Stadium.
DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College Yellow Jackets will play in front of a home crowd at Coressel Stadium for the third time this season when they take on Rose-Hulman on Saturday, October 18. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:30 pm.
