DEFIANCE, Ohio – Before having its 2020 season shortened because of the coronavirus, the Defiance College baseball team was off to a fabulous start after posting a 7-1 record on its annual Spring Break trip to Florida. With the cancellation of the remainder of its season, Defiance completes the campaign at 7-3 overall.

FORT MYERS, Fla. – On Tuesday in the 30th Annual Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic at the Lee County Player Development Complex, the Defiance College baseball team picked up two one-run wins over the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors. Defiance won the opening game of the doubleheader, 3-2, before posting a 4-3 victory.

UPLAND, Ind. – The Defiance College baseball team opened its 2020 season on Tuesday afternoon with a doubleheader on the road against the Taylor University Trojans. Defiance dropped the first game, 17-2, before suffering a heartbreaking 4-3 loss in the second at Winterholter Field.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Coming off a solid season last year, the Defiance College baseball team looks to keep improving and be in the hunt for the 2020 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship. In 2019 – after being picked to finish last in the conference by the HCAC head coaches – Defiance went 23-16-1 overall. The Yellow Jackets tied for third place in the conference at 10-8 before making a strong run with two wins at the HCAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed.
