The Jackets face an 8-6 deficit and the game will be picked up in the eighth at noon on Saturday and will be followed by the regularly scheduled doubleheader.

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance and Transylvania were able to complete the first of two scheduled games on Saturday afternoon at Rutter Field, before rain moved in and forced the suspension of the second contest. TU won the opener, 10-6, and built a 1-0 lead in game two before play was halted.

Pitro Ties DC’s All-Time Hit Mark in Loss to No. 3 Heidelberg

TIFFIN, Ohio – Defiance College had the tying runs in scoring position with two outs in the top of the ninth but could not get the big hit and fell by a 3-1 score at No. 3 Heidelberg on Friday. Tim Pitro collected two hits in the loss to tie for the most career hits in DC history.

DC Baseball Drops 2010 Season Opener to Grace

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Defiance College fell in an early 5-0 hole and could not recover, as the Jackets fell, 7-3, to Grace College in Nashville, Tennessee to open the 2010 campaign. DC will continue its trek south to compete in the Port Charlotte Invitational starting Monday in Port Charlotte, Florida.
