Defiance College begins Together We Win Campaign for athletic facility improvements

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College and its Athletic Department are presenting multiple new giving opportunities as part of a larger capital campaign targeted toward revitalizing DC's athletic facilities and further defining its future as a vital asset to Northwest Ohio.

Named the Together We Win Campaign beginning on Giving Tuesday (Dec. 2, 2025), Defiance College is inviting alumni/ae and supporters to donate towards some impactful improvements to better serve its student-athletes and the community. The results of these projects will further elevate DC's ability to recruit and retain high-caliber student-athletes with attractive facilities and amenities for its athletic programs.

The list of giving opportunities involving the athletic facilities includes:

  • Rejuvenation of the outdoor track and field facilities (track resurfacing, field event spaces)
  • Turf renovation for the baseball and softball fields
  • New soccer building and improvements to game and practice fields
  • Football turf replacement
  • Taraflex flooring for the Smart Center
  • New scoreboards for softball, soccer and football fields
  • Golf simulator and training facility enhancements
  • Wrestling mat for growing programs
  • Tennis/Pickleball court resurfacing
  • Launch of athletic scholarship endowment fund

"Today on Giving Tuesday, we begin a journey that has the power to transform the student-athlete experience at Defiance College for generations to come," says DC Athletic Director Tiffani Selhorst. "This campaign addresses both the immediate needs our teams feel every day and the long-term enhancements that will shape the future of Yellow Jacket athletics. We're inviting those who believe in our vision to be part of the story from the very beginning. When you get involved early, our student-athletes can see and feel your impact right now. Together, we can build the momentum, enthusiasm, and support that carry this campaign to its ambitious goal and beyond."

DC Athletics' goal for the Together We Win Campaign is $5.3 million, and each project will commence upon meeting its designated goal.
