Men’s Track Competes At All-Ohio Championships

DELAWARE, Ohio – The men’s track and field team traveled to Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday to compete in the Div. III All-Ohio Championships. DC’s Ryan Perry, Justin Perkins, Austin Trivett and Dan Hardin-Wallace each posted All-Ohio performances at the meet. Perry claimed Outdoor All-Ohio honors for the third time in his career. The senior sprinter placed fifth at the meet in the 200-meter dash, crossing the line in 23.26 seconds. Perkins posted an All-Ohio performance in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the second time in his career with a third-place time of 9:31.34. His performance gives the junior runner a two-second edge over Rose-Hulman’s Micah Aldrich for the best time in the HCAC this season. Trivett earned his third-consecutive Outdoor All-Ohio accolade with a third-place clearance of 14-07.25 in the pole vault. Sophomore teammate, Hardin-Wallace, placed sixth in the event with a mark of 13-07.25 to earn All-Ohio honors for the first time in his career. Defiance will travel to Indiana on Thursday, April 21, for the Anderson University Pre-Conference Invitational. The meet is set to begin at 4:00 p.m. ### |
